Recently, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) decided to launch preliminary anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on steel trailer wheels imported from China. The "double-reverse" investigation will determine whether steel wheels imported from China have caused significant damage to the US industry or may cause substantial damage.
The survey was a response to an application submitted by Dexstar Wheel. Dexda Wheel is a steel wheel manufacturer headquartered in Indiana, USA, and is part of Kenda Rubber Industrial. According to the application submitted by this company, the import value of the products involved last year was 87.2 million US dollars, which may exceed 95 million US dollars this year.
ITC plans to hold a hearing in Washington on August 29.
All relevant parties attending the meeting will speak at the hearing to express their views on the matter.
